1. About Eden Drone Repairs

Eden Drone Repairs is a private, home-based business located in the Garden Route, South Africa, specialising in the repair and servicing of drones and drone accessories. We cater to hobbyists, professionals, and businesses across the Western Cape.


2. Services Provided

We offer comprehensive drone repair services including diagnostics, motor replacements, ESC repairs, firmware updates, and custom drone builds. Detailed service options are available on our website.


3. Order Processing and Delivery

  • Processing Time: Upon receipt of your drone and full payment, repairs will be processed within 7 business days, subject to parts availability.
  • Delivery: Repaired drones can be collected personally or shipped via courier/postal services. Courier tracking details and booking references will be provided.
  • Delivery Costs: All courier or postal fees are payable by the client unless otherwise agreed.
  • Availability: All services and parts are subject to availability.

4. Export Restrictions

Our services and products are exclusively available to clients within South Africa.


5. Returns, Cancellations, and Refunds

  • If a requested service or part is unavailable, Eden Drone Repairs will refund the client in full within 30 days.
  • Cancellations made by the client after payment will incur a 5% administration fee.
  • Refunds are not provided for completed repairs or services rendered.

6. Privacy Policy

Eden Drone Repairs is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Personal data collected will only be used for service delivery and communication purposes and will not be shared without your consent.

7. Payment Methods

  • Payments can be made via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), Visa, or MasterCard.
  • All transactions are processed in South African Rand (ZAR).
  • Payment details are securely handled and customer card details are not stored by Eden Drone Repairs.

8. Responsibility and Liability

Eden Drone Repairs takes full responsibility for the quality of repairs, customer service, and delivery of goods and services. However, we are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from improper use or operation of repaired drones.


9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This agreement and all transactions are governed by the laws of South Africa.

10. Amendments to Terms

Eden Drone Repairs reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Clients are encouraged to review this page regularly.

12. RPAS (Drone) Use and Compliance Private Use

  • Definitions:
  • Private operation – means the use of an UAS for an individual’s personal and private purposes where there is no commercial outcome, interest or gain;
  • Restricted visual line-of-sight* – means an operation within 500 m of the remote pilot and below the height of the highest obstacle within 300 m of the UA, which the remote pilot maintains direct unaided visual contact with the UAS to manage its flight and meet separation and collision avoidance responsibilities;
  • General
  • It is the full responsibility of the remote pilot of the UAS to fly his/her aircraft safely and not endanger safety of another aircraft, any person or property.
  • The remote pilot must observe all statutory requirements relating to liability, privacy and any other laws enforceable by any other authorities.
  • Limitations and restrictions
  • Please adhere to the following for the safe operation of UAS:
  • Private operations of UAS shall be conducted:
    1. only in R-VLOS (day and night)
    2. with a Class 1A or 1B UAS (mass < 7 kg, Impact energy* < 15 kJ)
  • Do not fly UAS:
    1. Near manned aircraft
    2. 10 km or closer to an aerodrome (airport, helipad or airfield)
    3. In controlled, restricted or prohibited
    4. Adjacent to or above a nuclear power plant, prison, police station, crime scene, court of law, national key point or strategic installation
  • Do not fly UAS 50m or closer from:
    1. Any person or group of persons (like sport fields, road races, stadiums, schools, social events, etc.)
    2. Public road
    3. Any property without permission from property owner
    4. Do not release dispense, drop, deliver or deploy any object or substance from a UAS
    5. Only fly UAS in clear weather conditions
  • NOTE: The Director of Civil Aviation has designated an external organisation to oversee the operations of recreational aviation.

Commercial Use

  • Commercial drone operations require prior approval from the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) via an RPA Letter of Authority (RLA).
  • All drones must be registered with SACAA.
  • Operators must hold a valid RPA Pilot License and comply with Part 101 of the South African Civil Aviation Regulations.


14. Disclaimer

By using Eden Drone Repairs’ services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for operating your drone in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Eden Drone Repairs is not liable for any criminal or civil offences committed during the operation of your drone.
  • You will use your drone for private recreational purposes unless properly licensed for commercial use.
