1. About Eden Drone Repairs

Eden Drone Repairs is a private, home-based business located in the Garden Route, South Africa, specialising in the repair and servicing of drones and drone accessories. We cater to hobbyists, professionals, and businesses across the Western Cape.


2. Services Provided

We offer comprehensive drone repair services including diagnostics, motor replacements, ESC repairs, firmware updates, and custom drone builds. Detailed service options are available on our website.

3. Order Processing and Delivery

  • Processing Time: Upon receipt of your drone and full payment, repairs will be processed within 7 business days, subject to parts availability.
  • Delivery: Repaired drones can be collected personally or shipped via courier/postal services. Courier tracking details and booking references will be provided.
  • Delivery Costs: All courier or postal fees are payable by the client unless otherwise agreed.
  • Availability: All services and parts are subject to availability.

4. Export Restrictions

Our services and products are exclusively available to clients within South Africa.


5. Returns, Cancellations, and Refunds

  • If a requested service or part is unavailable, Eden Drone Repairs will refund the client in full within 30 days.
  • Cancellations made by the client after payment will incur a 5% administration fee.
  • Refunds are not provided for completed repairs or services rendered.

6. Privacy Policy

Eden Drone Repairs is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Personal information is processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).


7. Payment Methods

  • Payments can be made via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer).
  • All transactions are processed in South African Rand (ZAR).
  • Payment details are securely handled and customer card details are not stored by Eden Drone Repairs.

8. Responsibility and Liability

Eden Drone Repairs performs diagnostics and repairs with reasonable care and technical skill.

However:

• No guarantee is provided that a repaired UAV will be free from future malfunction, particularly in the case of legacy or discontinued platforms.
• Eden Drone Repairs shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of income, security breaches, operational downtime, or property damage arising from the use or failure of a repaired UAV.
• Maximum liability is strictly limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific repair service performed.


9. Test Flight Risk Acknowledgement

Certain diagnostics, calibration procedures, and firmware updates may require powered testing or controlled test flights.

The client acknowledges and agrees that:

• All powered testing and flight testing are conducted at the owner’s risk.
• Eden Drone Repairs is not liable for crash damage or loss resulting from pre-existing faults, electronic component failure, firmware instability, or legacy system degradation.


10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This agreement and all transactions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
The domicilium citandi et executandi (legal address for service of notices) is:

11. Amendments to Terms

The applicable Terms and Conditions are those published on the website at the time the booking form is submitted. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any updates.

13. RPAS (Drone) Use and Compliance Private Use

SACAA Compliance and Operator Responsibility

All drone (RPAS/UAS) operations in South Africa are regulated by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) under Part 101 of the Civil Aviation Regulations.

The client acknowledges and agrees that:

• Compliance with SACAA regulations is the sole responsibility of the drone owner and remote pilot.
• Eden Drone Repairs does not provide licensing, registration, operational approval, or legal compliance services.
• Repair, calibration, or servicing of a drone does not constitute certification of airworthiness for commercial or regulated operations.
• The client is responsible for ensuring that the aircraft is registered (where required) and operated by a properly licensed pilot if used for commercial or non-private purposes.

Eden Drone Repairs shall not be liable for any regulatory breaches, fines, penalties, or enforcement actions arising from the operation of a drone after repair.



15. Disclaimer

By using Eden Drone Repairs’ services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for operating your drone in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Eden Drone Repairs is not liable for any criminal or civil offences committed during the operation of your drone.
  • You will use your drone for private recreational purposes unless properly licensed for commercial use.

Legacy / Older UAV Platform Service Disclaimer

This clause applies to drones older than 5 years or running discontinued or legacy flight control systems.

The client acknowledges that:

• Electronic components degrade over time due to vibration, heat, moisture, and storage conditions.
• Replacement parts for older platforms may be obsolete or unavailable.
• Firmware support for older flight controllers may be limited or discontinued.
• Long-term reliability of legacy systems cannot be guaranteed.

Service on such platforms is performed on a best-effort basis only.

No warranty is provided on:

• Legacy flight controllers
• ESCs older than 3 years
• GPS modules
• LiPo batteries older than 3 years

No Security or Life-Safety Certification

Repaired or legacy UAV systems are not certified for security, surveillance, commercial, industrial, or life-safety applications.

Operational use of any repaired UAV for such purposes is undertaken solely at the owner’s risk.
