We cover the full range of drone repair work — from a bent gimbal arm to a fried flight controller. Below is what we do, how we do it, and what to expect at each stage.
The Repair Process
This is the exact sequence every repair follows — no exceptions.
| 01 | Book Submit the booking form or WhatsApp us with your drone model and a description of the fault. We’ll confirm receipt and give you the shipping address. |
| 02 | Ship Pack your drone carefully and send it by courier to our Heidelberg workshop. We recommend Courier Guy or Dawn Wing with declared value cover. We will advise on packing if needed. |
| 03 | Inspect On arrival we log the drone, photograph its condition, and begin the diagnostic. You pay the R500 inspection fee at this stage. Full written report within 3 working days. |
| 04 | Quote We send you a written repair quote. You accept, negotiate, or decline — no work starts without your approval. If you decline, the drone is returned to you (shipping at your cost). |
| 05 | Repair Approved repairs are carried out in our workshop using genuine and quality-equivalent replacement parts. All PCB work is done under digital microscope with hot-air rework station. |
| 06 | Test Completed repairs go through bench testing — motor run-up, ESC calibration, gimbal axis validation, firmware check. We document what was done and what was verified. |
| 07 | Return We ship the drone back via courier. You receive a service summary with the work carried out and warranty terms for replaced components. |

Note: battery repair feasibility is confirmed after inspection. Severely degraded or damaged cells may not be recoverable — we will advise honestly.

What We Don’t Do
Being clear about scope saves everyone time.
- We do not carry out live test flights — bench testing and functional validation only.
- We do not supply or upgrade DJI Care Refresh — work with DJI directly for warranty replacements.
- We do not perform CAA RPAS certification or log book signing.
- We do not service drones with water damage beyond assessment — corrosion-affected boards are evaluated case-by-case.
Parts & Warranty
We use genuine OEM parts where available and quality-equivalent parts where OEM is not stocked in South Africa. The inspection report and repair quote specify which parts are being used.
A 90-day warranty applies to all replaced components. The warranty covers the replaced part and its installation — not subsequent crash damage or user error.
| All work is quoted in writing before it starts. The R500 inspection fee is the only charge you authorise until you approve the repair quote. There are no hidden fees. |
Proprietary Lock-out Recovery: If your legacy platform is no longer supported by the manufacturer, we offer ‘Brain Transplant’ services using open-standard flight controllers (JIYI K++ series) to get your hardware back in production.
